PandaPad ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the PandaPad application at pandapad.io and app.pandapad.io (the "Service").

Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and any information provided through our authentication provider.

Usage Data. We collect limited usage information such as page views, feature usage, and error logs to improve and maintain the Service. This information is not used to identify you personally.

Your Data Files. Datasets you load into PandaPad are processed entirely in your browser using Pyodide (WebAssembly). Your data files are never uploaded to our servers.

AI Code Generation

When you use the AI-assisted code generation feature, only the following metadata is sent to our AI provider:

Cell values and raw dataset contents are never transmitted. AI prompts and generated code may be processed and retained as part of operating, securing, and improving the Service, including quality assurance and performance monitoring. Any such retention is limited to what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

You should not include sensitive personal data in prompts submitted to the AI feature.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use a session cookie for authentication. We may use browser local storage to persist your workflow state locally on your device. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

How We Use Information

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., our authentication and AI providers) or as required by law.

Data Retention

Account information is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your account information from our systems, subject to legal obligations.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
